Dream Facts

  1. One-third of your lives is spent sleeping.
  2. In an average lifetime, you would have spent a total of about six years of it dreaming. That is more than 2,100 days spent in a different realm.
  3. Dreams have been here as long as mankind. Back in the Roman Era, striking and significant dreams were submitted to the Senate for analysis and interpretation.
  4. Everybody dreams. EVERYBODY! Simply because you do not remember your dream does not mean that you did not dream.
  5. Dreams are indispensable. A lack of dream activity can mean protein deficiency or a personality disorder.
  6. We dream on average of one or two hours every night. And we often even have 4-7 dreams in one night.
  7. Blind people do dream. Whether visual images will appear in their dream depends on whether they where blind at birth or became blind later in life. But vision is not the only sense that constitutes a dream. Sounds, tactility, and smell become hypersensitive for the blind and their dreams are based on these senses.
  8. Five minutes after the end of the dream, half the content is forgotten. After ten minutes, 90% is lost.
  9. The word dream stems from the Middle English word, dreme which means "joy" and "music".
  10. Men tend to dream more about other men, while women dream equally about men and women.
  11. Studies have shown that our brain waves are more active when we are dreaming than when we are awake.
  12. Dreamers who are awakened right after REM sleep, are able to recall their dreams more vividly than those who slept through the night until morning.
  13. Physiologically speaking, researchers found that during dreaming REM sleep, males experience erections and females experience increased vaginal blood flow - no matter what the content of the dream. In fact, "wet dreams" may not necessarily coincide with overtly sexual dream content.
  14. People who are giving up smoking have longer and more intense dreams.
  15. Toddlers do not dream about themselves. They do not appear in their own dreams until the age of 3 or 4.
  16. If you are snoring, then you cannot be dreaming.
  17. Nightmares are common in children, typically beginning at around age 3 and occurring up to age 7-8.
  18. In a poll, 67% of Americans have experienced Deja Vu in their dreams, occurring more often in females than males.

Iris

Iris
by Goo Goo Dolls

And I'd give up forever to touch you
Cause I know that you feel me somehow
You're the closest to heaven that I'll ever be
And I don't want to go home right now

And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming
Or the moment of truth in your lies
When everything feels like the movies
Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive

And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am

I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am
I just want you to know who I am

Be

I always wonder why I am alive... not that I am ungrateful. But where did my consciousness come from?

I am one who believes that souls exist. Is the soul the cause of our consciousness? But if not, what? Why do we have a consciousness?

Why I am living in this body? Why not another body? Why can't I be in two beings at the same time? I can only experience one life. I cannot experience another person's life at the same time. If I can experience more than one existence, possibly one at a time. But memories of those lives are unreachable.

One of my cousins told me that they usually perform some form of hypnotism to a person so that person can view his or her past lives. She never had a chance to perform that on me so I don't really have that much to comment about. But if that is true, are the things they see really their past lives or just the brain tricking them to believing so? If its just a product of a creative brain I cannot claim is true either.

I can move this body on will alone. How about a comatose person, why do they not move? Where is their consciousness? Where has their will to live gone? If the consciousness is still there... has it caught a disease?

Anyway, whatever I ask, no one can really answer. Maybe a higher consciousness can knock me down with an answer with a price. I rather just ask questions without answers.

How to bath a cat.

We all know cats don't like it. So here's a guide to HOW TO BATHE A CAT.

~~~~~~
Clean the toilet bowl.
Add shampoo to the toilet bowl water, and have both lids lifted.
Acquire the cat and pacify it while carrying it towards the toilet bowl.
In one swift movement, put the cat inside the toilet bowl and close both lids. Sit on the lid right away if needed. CAUTION: Do not get any part of your body too close where its sharp claws can find you.
Flush the toilet a couple or more times depending on cat's overall uncleanliness factor. This provides a washing machine effect which is quite effective.
Have someone else open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people between the toilet and the "escape" door. That someone should place himself behind the door.
Stand behind the toilet bowl as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
The now squeaky clean cat will fly out of the toilet, and run outside. Squeaky clean!
Feeling stupid?
The future is here. An anti-stupidity pill has been invented.
Hmm... I know just the right person to test it on hehehe...
